Medicine
Medicine is not one career, it is a career category, like a career in engineering or mathematics. Medicine is the category of careers including physicians and nurses and doctors. It includes mainly doctoring, security (First responders), and assisting. In all, the field of medicine is the overall medical field. This career/field relates to chemistry because chemists design vaccines and drugs used in medical procedures, and also make many other things used in this field.
R&D Management
In a lab, the R&D Manager's role is to keep the team together and succeed a goal. The manager of a team oversees day to day work on the project, and directs the workers to achieve the goal. One of the most important roles is to make sure that the business aspect of the project is included. This includes watching over the cost of making the product, and the budget of the team. Most people in the field of R&D management are working for the large companies or the government, because it is very hard to be self employed in this field.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry
The petroleum and natural gas industry is the industry that is in charge of finding, processing, refining, transporting, and marketing the fuel products. This industry is a vital factor in many other industries, as it provides the fuel source for many factories and power plants. This industry is also the main factor in causing global warming, as petroleum and natural gas are fossil fuels. Chemistry is involved with this career in two ways: 1. The petroleum and natural gas industry find out more methods of refining and processing the products 2. Chemists try to find out ways to stop and measure global warming caused by the industry.
