A R&D Chemical Engineer (Research and Development Chemical Engineer) is the type of chemical engineer that makes chemicals for companies and people. Chemical Engineers make things like perfumes, soaps, medicine, paints and synthetics. These professionals also do things like research and measure things about new chemicals. We need Chemical Engineers because we depend on chemicals in everyday life. Most of the food you eat has a component that was probably invented in a lab one day. Without Chemical Engineers, we would have no advanced building materials like plastics and metal alloys. In a world without these people and things, we would still be using leeches for healing purposes and things like crime and death rates would go up.
